What our nail salon in Sliema offers
BeCammo is best known for brows, but our Sliema salon also has a full nail menu. You can book a quick manicure with normal polish, a pedicure, a longer spa pedicure or rubber base gel on your natural nails. Everything is done at 6, Triq Manwel Dimech. Nails are not available at our Swieqi salon.
Manicure
A classic manicure tidies the whole nail: shaping, cuticle care and normal polish in the colour you choose. It costs €20 and takes about 30 minutes, so it fits into a lunch break. Normal polish dries in the air and you can take it off at home, which makes it the easy option if you like to change colour often.
Pedicure and spa pedicure
The pedicure with normal polish costs €18 and takes 30 minutes: nails cut and shaped, cuticles tidied, polish applied. The spa pedicure is the longer version, from €32 and 45 minutes, with more time spent on the skin of your feet. With normal polish it is €35, and with gel polish €42, both in a one-hour appointment. It includes a foot soak, exfoliation, a mask and a massage.
Rubber base gel
Rubber base is a thicker, flexible gel applied over your own nail and set under a lamp. It adds a layer of strength, which helps nails that bend, peel or break before they have a chance to grow. Hands cost €30 for short nails and €33 for medium, in a one-hour appointment: the €3 difference is for the extra length. With French or ombré it is €35 or €38 and takes an hour and a quarter. Hands and toes in the same visit cost €55 or €58 and take about an hour and a half. Gel colour is included in these prices.

Which nail service suits you
Not sure what to book? This is how most clients choose:
- Manicure with normal polish. For a quick tidy, a colour for the weekend or nails that are having a break from gel.
- Rubber base gel. If normal polish chips on you within days, if you work with your hands or if you are trying to grow your natural nails.
- Pedicure. Regular upkeep, especially in sandal season.
- Spa pedicure. When your feet are dry or tired and you want more than a polish change.
- Men's hygienic manicure. Clean, shaped nails and tidy cuticles, with no colour. €20, 30 minutes.
Plain or detailed. Our nail artists can keep the look simple or add French, ombré or nail art for €5. Tell us what you have in mind when you book, so there is time for it.
If you have a cut, an infection or irritated skin around your nails, or if you have diabetes or poor circulation in your feet, tell us before your appointment and we will advise.

How a nail appointment works, step by step
- BookingYou choose the service and, for rubber base, the length of your nails: short or medium. If you are wearing gel from another visit, add the removal to your booking so there is time for it. Gel polish removal costs €15 to €18 and takes 30 minutes. On toes, gel removal with cuticle work is €16.
- A look at your nailsBefore anything is filed, we look at your nails and the skin around them and agree the shape, the length and the colour with you. If something needs care before polish goes on, we tell you.
- Shaping and cuticle careNails are cut or filed to the shape you asked for and the cuticles are tidied, so the polish sits on a clean surface.
- Base and colourNormal polish goes on in thin coats and dries in the air. Rubber base is applied in layers and each layer is set under the lamp, so it is already hard when you leave.
- FinishA top coat, a check of the edges and a last look in good light. If a nail does not look right to you, say so and we fix it there and then.
- Care tipsYou leave knowing how to look after the result and when it makes sense to come back.
Tools and hygiene: reusable tools are sterilised in a dedicated sterilising device, and anything disposable is used once and thrown away.

Before and after your appointment
Before
Try not to cut your own cuticles in the days before. For a pedicure with normal polish, bring open shoes, because polish on toes needs time to dry fully. If a nail is damaged or painful, tell us when you arrive.
After
Go easy on normal polish for the first hour or two. With gel, wear gloves for cleaning and washing up, and use a cuticle oil or hand cream every day. Do not pick or peel gel off: it usually takes a layer of your own nail with it. Come back and we remove it for you.
How long it lasts and when to come back
It depends on your nails and on what your hands do all day, so take these as typical ranges and not as a promise.
- Normal polish on hands: usually several days, up to about a week with a little care.
- Normal polish on toes: usually longer, often two weeks or more, because toes get less wear.
- Rubber base gel: usually two to three weeks. Some clients stretch it to four, but by then the growth near the cuticle shows and the nail is more likely to lift.
Most clients who wear gel rebook every three weeks or so. For pedicures, every four to six weeks is common. Small extras are booked as their own 15-minute slot: French, ombré or nail art for €5, and a toenail reconstruction for €5.

Laser nail fungus treatment
Our Sliema salon also offers a laser session for nails affected by fungus. It costs €20, takes about 15 minutes and is booked online with a €5 deposit.
The procedure is non-invasive: laser light is aimed at the fungus beneath the nail. After the session, the nail can be strengthened and painted. An assessment always comes first, so we look at the nail before the laser is used. More than one session may be needed, and how many depends on the person, on how many nails are affected and for how long. Sessions are booked 30 days apart. Results show as the nail grows out, which takes months, and they vary from one person to another.
A laser session does not replace medical advice. If you have diabetes, if the nail is painful or if you are not sure that it is fungus, speak to your doctor or pharmacist first.
Nails and brows in one visit
BeCammo was founded by Brazilian brow artist Brenda Cammo, and brows are still what we are known for. At Sliema you can book your nails and eyebrow threading back to back and leave with both done.
The Sliema salon is also the only one of our two salons with a massage menu, and it has the same facials as Swieqi. Each treatment is booked online as its own slot, so you can see the times that fit together before you confirm.
