Who we are
BeCammo is a beauty salon with two locations in Malta: 6, Triq Manwel Dimech, Sliema SLM 1059, and 47, Triq il-Mizura, Swieqi SWQ 2064. BeCammo is the data controller for the personal data described on this page. For any privacy request, contact us on WhatsApp at +356 7922 9338 or in person at either salon.
Data
What personal data we collect
- When you book online: your name, phone number and e-mail address, the treatment, salon, date and time you choose, and the deposit payment. Card details are entered on the payment provider's secure page and never reach BeCammo.
- When you message us: your phone number, your name as shown on WhatsApp and the content of the conversation.
- At the salon: information you give us so that a treatment can be carried out safely, such as allergies, skin sensitivities, pregnancy, medication or recent procedures. We ask only what is relevant to the treatment you book.
- Photographs: before-and-after photos are taken only with your consent, and are published only if you agree to it separately.
- When you visit this website: standard technical data such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location, collected by our analytics tool (see Cookies and analytics below).
Purpose
Why we use your data
- To deliver the service you booked: manage your appointment, send booking confirmations and reminders, carry out the treatment safely and apply our cancellation policy (legal basis: performance of a contract).
- To look after your safety: health information you share is used only to decide whether a treatment is suitable and how to adapt it (legal basis: your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time).
- To answer your questions on WhatsApp or in person (legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us).
- To understand how the website is used and improve it (legal basis: our legitimate interest, with aggregated statistics).
- To comply with the law: accounting and tax records of payments.
We do not use your data for automated decisions and we do not sell it to anyone.
Processors
Who processes your data on our behalf
- SimplyBook.me runs our online booking agenda and stores booking details and reminders. Deposits are collected through the payment provider connected to SimplyBook, which handles card data under its own privacy policy.
- WhatsApp (Meta) carries the messages you send us, under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Google provides the web fonts used on this site and, where enabled, Google Analytics for aggregated visitor statistics.
- Our web host stores the website files and standard server logs.
Some of these providers process data outside the European Union. Where they do, transfers rely on the safeguards foreseen by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Retention
How long we keep it
- Booking history and treatment notes: for as long as you are a client, so we can see what was done previously and plan the next treatment, and then for the period required by Maltese law for business records.
- WhatsApp conversations: for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up.
- Payment records: for the period required by accounting and tax law.
- Analytics data: in aggregated form, for the retention period set in the analytics tool.
Your rights
What you can ask us
Under the GDPR you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you gave. To exercise any of these rights, message us on WhatsApp or speak to the team at either salon. We answer within one month.
If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC), Malta's supervisory authority.
